Design. Patricio Oliver

From the dark recesses of Patricio Oliver's mind come the bizarre children known as the Cucos.

Led by the elusive and sinister Cursed Twins, this collection of 3-inch evildoers only exist to cause madness and horror wherever they go.

This blind-boxed series includes 13 figures, 2 of which are chases.

* PVC
* Blind Assortmen

The Cucos are troublemakers. The Cucos Victorian House is near a village where other strange and unique creatures live, but due to their questionable and extremely insane behavior, these children were sent to the Cucos House as a last resort to rehabilitate their evil ways. The Cursed Twins run the place, and instead of helping the Cucos find the correct path, they manipulate them into doing even more terrible things in order to fulfill their sinister secret agenda.

Fashion. MEM couture

The collections of clothing and apparel MEM couture are designed by two designers - ERIC MAJ POTOCNIK & MATJAZ PLOSINJAK.

It all began a few years ago caused by the passion of creating together, but we started our professional way in 2004 when the first collection was presented in Ljubljana. The debut brought about an instant breakout into the niche of Slovenian fashion. So far the label has mostly been presented in Italy, Spain, BiH, Croatia & Slovenia.

MEM couture always tries to create both - prêt-à-porter and haute couture pieces as well. What we find as very important are stories caught in garments, shoes and other accessories. A strong concept is always the base. Almost needless to say that we love to play with (re-creating) human proportions, symbiosis of contrast textiles and patterns. Sometimes surrealistic. Sometimes near to classic as well. Spiced with a touch of Paris. Chic.

One of the greatest MEM couture projects until now was "Hommage à Marlene", dedicated to the legendary Marlene Dietrich. The collection was first presented at the fashion week of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after that an artistic presentation was performed at the "Museum fashion day" organized by the International contemporary art museum Casoria-Napoli in Italian Naples. In Ljubljana the supplemented collection was presented for the third and the last time in autumn 2007.

Illustration. Sybile

Sybile (Bruxelles, Belgium)

"Painter and illustrator, I am born and live in Brussels, Belgium where I have studied drawing and painting.
My favourite technic is acrylic paint on canvas.
My world is made of porcelain dolls floating through in times and fashions.
A strong Asian influence comes from my fascination of the samurais and geishas era, cinema and japanese anime.
On top of painting, I work on illustrations books and art cards."

Sound. Hungry Lucy - Pulse of the Earth

In mid-2008, indie duo, Hungry Lucy were recording weekly podcasts and had finished writing songs for their 4th full-length release. By all accounts, things were going well for the band. Popularity was at an all-time high, and their music was selling nicely across the globe. From the inside though, Hungry Lucy had become more about social media, and less about the kind of great songs the pair loved to write. Gone was the mystery, spark and creativity that once burned bright for Christa Belle and Warren Harrison. With that, the couple ceased podcasting, scrapped most of of the nearly-complete album and immersed themselves in making something truly magical. Now, in early 2010… "Pulse of the Earth" is released to the World.

On "Pulse of the Earth" Christa and Warren cast aside all expectations and spent time isolated in the mountains of Tennessee and away from the World. With no outside disturbances the duo were able to ignore trends and dive headlong into the art of storytelling. From these stories were born 10 songs of mystery, other-worldly beings and the spirit of the earth. As always, Hungry Lucy crosses genres at a moments notice, while somehow maintaining a cohesive vision. Christa Belle's haunting voice digs deep and soars high above a bed of gypsy melodies, ominous drones and tribal rhythms. At once ambient, catchy and full of drama, these 10 songs will get inside you, settle within and bring you in sync with the pulse of the earth.

Design. Elena Savitskaya

Elena Savitskaya - (London, United Kingdom)

I am a Graphic and Web Designer, based in London. All of my life i had a passion about design, psychology and marketing. I come from a Marketing Management background and when it comes to Graphic Design i have my own definitions of goals that designers need to achieve. In my opinion, it’s not all about “pretty graphics”. When pictures got printed on product packaging for the first time, the idea behind it was very simple: boost sales. And that’s the goal in a clever approach to Graphic Design. Pure “eye candy” won’t work anymore. It has to have a marketing strategy behind it, be memorable, be well-researched. I think that combining these principles with the “eye candy” achieves the right result for my clients and me.

In this portfolio/blog i will try to tell some stories about my projects, as well as showcase my work. I also hope to write quite a few articles about my views on the industry and different routes designers take when it comes to working on a project.

Overall, I’ve been a Graphic Designer for 5 years now. I also had a divine experience of working in Online Marketing Agency and wining them their first award for Web Design and User Experience.

I tend to approach my clients professionally, but with a human touch.

When it comes to creative thinking and marketing strategies you just can’t be put into a box. A lot of us, designers, are guilty of thinking that a client’s brief itself is that box. But i see it as a guideline, as a creative challenge, as a way to re-invent idea behind it.

Oh, almost forgot my main tools of trade – my skills.
Currently I’m using the following software for my projects: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, CorelDRAW, After Effects. I’m capable of handcoding HTML and CSS in a valid and Search Engine Friendly way.

Since i started my job as a Graphic Designer, I’ve learned a lot about user experience, pshychology of sales, pshychology of perception, online and offline marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and advertising strategies.

On this site, I’m not only showcasing my work, i want to share my view on different issues with my existing/prospective clients and fellow designers/marketers. I hope you guys are going to enjoy it.

All the best,
Elena"

Digital Art. Jordy Roelofs.

"My name Jordy Roelofs, I'm 20 years old or young hehe, I live in Dordrecht, wich is a city near Rotterdam in The Netherlands.

I've been doing graphics for about 8 years now.

It all started when I was watching the popular anime "Dragonball Z", wich back then recently aired on TV.
I was hooked by it and I desperately wanted more info about the anime and I started browsing the webs.
I loved all those "DBZ" websites and I wanted one of my own.
So I started to learn how to make a website and from there one I got into graphics bit by bit, because graphics are almost always needed for a good website!

The "DBZ" hype for me ended some time later but the graphics hype did not!
I started doing lots of experimental stuff in Photoshop because I really enjoyed doing it.
8 years later, and I still very much enjoy it!
I've pretty much learned everything from myself because I did not follow an education in Graphics or anything in that "neighbourhood".
I got rejected a few years back at the "Grafisch Lyceum" school because of my diploma.
I thought they had more eye for talent rather then just words on paper but I guess it doesnt work that way.

I am currently unemployed and looking/open for work, so feel free to contact me!

Shot. Soon Tong

"Soon Tong is one of the lead photographers for Calibre Pictures and Ideas, he continues to perfect his craft, experimenting with the surreal, such as capturing sublime images of liquids frozen in a fleeting moment. To him, experimentation leads to art and like a true artist, he is always in search for the next masterpiece.

After 9 years in the industry, Soon Tong still refuses to be pigeonholed into any genre. The perfectionist in him enjoys the freedom of expressing his ideas and point of view without any boundaries. He particularly enjoys shooting people and liquid, capturing beautiful movement on print. His decade long love affair with cars resulted in many vivid shots of moving metal.

One distinct trait that sets Soon Tong apart from other photographers is his natural eye for colour, tone and composition, which is reflected in his diverse range of work: fashion, still life, advertising, architecture and studio photography.

Soon Tong’s work reflects his inimitable ability to get inside a subject and explore the inner workings to deliver an accurate interpretation of mood, environment and emotive balance. His easy-going manner reveals no hint of ego, yet maintains the quiet confidence of someone who knows he can get the job done, and done well". MORE>>>>>
