Niche Magazine was founded by a collaboration of Brian Vu a graphic designer, Nick Asokan a photographer, Chris Bernal a web designer, and Tiara Chiaramonte a journalist. They embarked on the first issue featuring Circa Survive’s Anthony Green on the cover. In the second issue the magazine featured a fashion photo editorial by Nick Asokan with the Mosley Tribes sunglasses and also featured the band, Cursive. By the third issue the magazine had become established in the music circuit featuring the band Iglu & Hartly on the cover and interviews with Copeland and Anchor & Braille. The fourth issue featured coverage of several summer music festivals including: Outside Lands, Street Scene, and FYF Fest.
Niche Magazine continues to grow and in our fifth issue features many acclaimed musical artists such as Azure Ray, Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie, Treasure Island music festival and Tori Amos. The fashion section also continues to grow with LA Fashion Week featuring Li Cari and a photo spread of Marais shoes.
